Serviceton was initially a tiny satellite suburb on the outskirts of Brisbane, and was one of a number of attempts around Australia by returned serviceman to collaborate in establishing themselves and their families in post-war life. This book shows how 3 portions of land were developed into Serviceton (1946-1953), renamed Inala in 1953. It also retells the stories of some of the local people who were there in 1946-1953 representing both the Serviceton newcomers, and the established Richlands small landholders nearby. |
