Plan of Settlers' blocks on Norfolk Island 1796 on end papers. This gives a picture of the individuals comprising the population of Norfolk Island during the First Settlement (1788-1814), and covers some aspects of their lives. It lists the names and occupations of many who resided there; those who were later moved to the Derwent and Port Dalrymple in Van Diemens Land are nominated with their ships of departure. There were five embarkations between 1807-1808. Vessels: 1st - Lady Nelson; 2nd - Porpoise; 3rd - Lady Nelson; 4th - Estramina; 5th - City of Edinburgh.
