Notes: |
This book was written by John Joseph (Digger) Carroll in his 90th year. It is a dossier of a lifetime which covered the major part of the 20th century. He saw many advances in technology, particularly farming, and was involved in two World Wars, the Great Depression, and local government and football. It is a story of a boy, a young man and a man of age who knew happiness, tragedy, the horror and devastation of war and the satisfaction of working for people in the community.
