Descriptive history of the Essendon tramlines and trams which operated from 1906 to 1922 in Melbourne. Suburbs served by the tramlines included North Melbourne, Ascot Vale, Maribyrnong, Essendon, and Moonee Ponds.

Booklet has been adapted from the original work by Keith Kings which appeared in the October 1966 edition of the Tramway Museum Society of Victoria's "Running journal". Much of the information was obtained originally from "The coming of the trams" (1906) and "The Essendon tramways" (Traction Publications, 1963).
