Original manuscript in the collection of the Dixson Library, Public Library of New South Wales. Also includes Easty's petition to the Admiralty of 1796, published as an appendix to Easty's journal which has been transcribed from the microfilm copy in the Mitchell Library, Sydney. Neither his birth nor death dates of John Easty, private marine on the Scarborough, are known. Arriving with the First Fleet on board the Scarborough, Easty returned to England in December 1792, on the Atlantic.
