Presents colour maps, based on data collected in the 2006 census of population and housing, that highlight key social, demographic and housing characteristics of the population in Melbourne and a selected regional centre in Victoria, i.e. Geelong. The maps highlight the diversity that exists across these cities and regional centres and are easy to interpret as the distribution of the data are represented by different colours and shading.
