On 5 April 2005 the Australian Society of Archivists celebrated 30 years of the professional association with a seminar, 'Made, Kept & Used', which was designed to provide a focus on the key area of access to records and archives, one of the crucial roles undertaken by archivists and recordkeepers. A number of the papers from the seminar are reproduced here and include: - Made, kept and used: Celebrating 30 years of the Australian Society of Archivists - Access: The democratic imperative - Access: The success of advocacy - Indigenous records and archives: Mutual obligations and building trust - It's none of your business: Access to business archives - Access to indigenous-related records from a community perspective - Access alert! Don't be alarmed; Archival access is a good thing (Adapted from Foreword and Contents).
