Jim Munro joined the RAAF to be a pilot but, like many others he did not make the correct 'grade' and instead, he became a bomb aimer. In the UK, he was sent to 460 RAAF Squadron flying Lancasters and then began the night raids over German-occupied Europe began. Over the following months, Jim and the crew bombed the Peenemunde rocket works. Turin in Italy, Cologne. Hamburg and finally Berlin.
