The house with roots going back to 1885 overlooks National Parks, an ocean panorama that includes the original natural entrance to the Gippsland Lakes system, and encompasses the rich Bass Strait fishery and the vast wealth of the offshore oil and gas fields and the potential wealth of the geothermal resources of the Gippsland Basin.
