Notes:
Jim Turner was killed in France 26.7.1916. Both his parents were dead at the time these letters were written from the Front during WW1 to Mrs Pengilley (Caroline). Will Pengilley and Caroline Pengilley were licensees at the Apollo Bay Hotel. Many of the young men who drank there called Caroline "mother".
