Summary: he Charity stained glass window in St Peter Anglican church in Mornington, Victoria, is dedicated to the Reverend George Cox and his wife Fannie. Mr Cox had not been a vicar at St Peter but was closely involved with the church and its community for 25 years, following his retirement to Mornington in 1919, Cox is remembered as vestryman and churchwarden as well as for numerous activities that supported the life and mission of the Church. He conducted baptisms, weddings and funerals; he carried out relief preaching at St Peter and other churches; undertook locum appointments; and was acknowledged as the first historian of the Anglican church in Mornington. In addition to church-related contributions he made numerous contributions to the wider community.-Back cover.
