CD-ROM. In this work, published in 1902, the author has collected from various sources much that is interesting and valuable, not only in regard to the Institute itself, but also by the frequent references to the earlier years of the town and of the many long-forgotten details. The result is a record of the rise and progress and much of the subsequent history of Port Adelaide. The incorporation of a supplementary catalogue of 8,000 books, representing the volumes added to the shelves during the past decade, will be appreciated by any with interest in local history at that time, and today. A feature of the work which is 'now issued to the public under the title of “Fifty Years of the Port Adelaide Institute," with supplementary catalogue', is the reproduction of photographs of representative Portonians of fifty years ago, in addition to those of many of the leading citizens of the day.
