Notes: |
Run, Johnny, Run traces the 2004 campaign from the elevation of Mark Latham to the Labor leadership through to the morning after the re-election of Howard. It is a partisan view: Mungo MacCallum is scathing in his critical reflections on Howard both as a prime minister and campaigner, but appears somewhat supine on the subject of Latham, who appears to be the victim in this campaign, either of unfair commentary on the part of the Murdoch press or of unfortunate circumstances that can befall an inexperienced leader.
