The Wardell building has been the face of Genazzano for one hundred and twenty years. First it stood alone in the landscape on the picturesque hill of Kew looking towards Melbourne. Today you find it at the heart of a much expanded twenty-first century leading girls' school, in a residential suburb, with commanding views of a skyscraper city and featured in the virtual tour of the College. How and why does a nineteenth century building speak to us in the twenty-first century? Why does knowing this matter?
