When two Hesket ladies decided to go for a walk every Tuesday in the mid 1970s little did they know that the "Walkers" would still be doing the 10am to 12noon stint for over thirty years. Others joined them and the walk was always from the home of that week's hostess. Nothing deterred them, not rain, gales, snow, heat or fences. Within these pages are the contributions of those walkers and the unforgettable years of companionship, laughter, nature observations and physical fitness that they enjoyed.
