The diary of a young Australian army sergeant. Stan Arneil eventually fell into the hands of the Japanese and kept this record. It is a unique chronicle of the Second World War ranging from the sweep of Japan through South East Asia to the Burma-Thailand railway camps, then to Changi and finally the return home. Written on stolen paper this diary is accompanied by a series of photographs by George 'Changi' Aspinal.
