Notes: |
The lives and schooling of girls circa 1920s.
In this recording remarkable elderly women in their late 80s to 103 recall aspects of their school life. Compiled by women interested in the education of women it tells of an era in education when non-government schools were the only providers of university entrance level education for women in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne.
These women have in common the fact that at least some of their schooling was a Fintona, but this is not a history of Finona and Fintona is not the only school described.
