Notes:
George Black arrived in Melbourne 30 th December, 1840 in "St Mungo". He was the second son of Captain George Black of the Black Watch and Marjorie Lawson. Born at Lawgrove, an old grey stone Manor House on his father's estate in Perthshire on the 24th April 1813.

In 1851 he purchased from Edward Hahson, Tarwin Run, beyond Anderson's Inlet to which he brought a mob of bullocks.
