This book is a history of the Atkinson trucks produced in Australia and New Zealand. The small Australian subsidiary, initially based in Clayton, produced powerful and innovative vehicles to meet transport requirements well beyond the capacity of their English counterparts. The book outlines the various engineering challenges along the way and the various changes of ownership which eventually saw the company absorbed in the IVECO empire.
