The stories in this book are not presented as an historical record of the Swan Hill region, but rather represents the experiences, musings, observations and memories of local people who have contributed to the rich mosaic of life that symbolises our community. The contributors have willingly recalled and retraced earlier years of the development of our region. So in this way the book encapsulates our history.
