Notes:
For over three decades, John Elliott has loomed large in Australian public life. Of his varied roles including President of the Federal Liberal Party and Chairman and CEO of Elders IXL, he rates the twenty-year presidency of his beloved Carlton Football Club as the most important. John Elliott is renowned for telling it like it is. In ‘Big Jack’ he is in fine form as he tells the story of his playing days, his appointment to the presidency of the Carlton Football Club, his successful reign at the club and the dramatic events that saw him deposed at the end of the 2002 season.
