Notes:
The mound sites (myrn-yong, etc.) of Western Victoria have often been commented upon, but they have never been examined in detail. This paper is an interim report of an on-going research project aimed at studying this type and associated sites in depth in the course of a regional survey involving areas in the Western District. Examination of one such area (covered by the R652 1:100,000 Willaura map sheet) is now complete, and this paper will present preliminary results of investigations and analysis of settlement patterns, environment, and the contents of two excavated mounds.
Bibliography: p. 43-46.
